As we continue to navigate the ongoing global pandemic this summer, it’s still important to keep supporting our city’s local businesses. Luckily, many Dallas restaurants have opened once again for both dine-in and takeout! Here are a few eateries that could use your support during these troubling times.
Here Are Some of the Best Dallas Restaurants
Remember—even if you plan on just picking up your food, you’ll need to wear a face mask to comply with Governor Abbott’s recent executive order. You should also maintain social distance and stay home if you’re feeling ill!
Now, without further ado, here are some of the best Dallas restaurants that are worth checking out this summer!
Pecan Lodge
Open for dine-in (patio only), takeout, and delivery
As one of Dallas’s longtime staples, Pecan Lodge is a family-owned barbecue outpost known for its pit-smoked meats and stellar service. There’s a reason why this humble eatery is rated as one of the top barbecue spots in the world—their longtime favorites like brisket and beef ribs simply can’t be beat.
Currently, Pecan Lodge is open for outdoor dining, takeout, and delivery at multiple locations. They also offer pre-packed family style meals that serve four people.
Uchi
Open for dine-in (reservation only) and curbside pickup
Uchi, which is Japanese for “house”, has been serving some of Dallas’s finest seafood and sushi for the last five years. Award-winning Chef Tyson Cole (one of the few American sushi masters) and Chef de Cuisine Alex Astranti aim to craft a menu that’s inspired by traditional Japanese favorites with a signature Dallas twist. Locals love the crispy tempura, as well as the rotating omakase specials.
Currently, Uchi is open for dine-in and curbside pickup with separate menus. Guests can choose to dine inside or on the patio.
La Calle Doce
Open for dine-in, curbside pickup, and limited delivery
With two locations in Uptown and the Bishop Arts District, La Calla Doce is a family-owned Mexican restaurant that serves up some of the best seafood in town. Whether you’re hankering for some fresh ceviche or a refreshing margarita, you’ll fall in love with La Calla Doce’s tantalizing flavors.
Currently, La Calle Doce’s locations are both open for dine-in and curbside pickup. The Bishop Arts District location also offers contactless delivery.
Gemma
Open for curbside pickup and delivery
You simply can’t beat the relaxed Californian flavors from Gemma, a modern American bistro that has something to satisfy any palate. Satisfyingly fresh watermelon gazpacho, filet au poivre, Texas fried quail, and grilled caesar salad are just a few of their offerings that you simply have to try. Gemma also offers at-home pasta kits for a more interactive culinary experience!
Currently, Gemma is open for curbside pickup and delivery. They have not announced when or if they will be opening for in-person dining.
Zoli’s NY Pizza
Open for dine-in, takeout, and delivery
Zoli’s may not be located in Dallas proper, but this local landmark is worth the quick drive to Addison or Fort Worth. Their simple yet legendary pies have been rated as some of the best in the Dallas area, and they now offer even more than just pizza. There’s no better place to have a traditional Italian dinner just like Grandma used to make—their burgers and sandwiches are delicious, too.
Currently, Zoli’s locations are open for dine-in, takeout, and delivery via UberEats.
